Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray escaped suspension for Game 3 of their second-round series with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Murray was only fined $100,000 by the league for throwing a towel and a heat pack on the court, an action described by many viewers and Wolves coach Chris Finch as dangerous.
He was also caught on video making inappropriate and unprofessional gestures toward a game official, suggesting they were paid to help the Wolves win.
Rudy Gobert was fined $100,000 for the same offense.
Pressed by the media about his shenanigans, Murray was all about moving on but did not apologize.
However, he said he was taking full responsibility for everything that happened.
"Nah, I mean it is what it is and I take everything in full responsibility, so on to the next," he said.
When asked to apologize for his detrimental behavior, he only replied, "Do you have any basketball questions?"
Mike Malone reacts to Murray's shenanigans
Murray's meltdown has many people getting on his case.
Coach Mike Malone thought his player's behavior was a culmination of all his frustrations with the game.
He cited the non-calls, failure to make shots he was usually making, and not being able to erase the lead the Wolves had on them.
"So when you put it all in the boiling pot, that's a lot to handle," Malone explained.
"And he didn't handle it the way he knows he needs to handle it, and I'm sure he told you guys that."
Murray, Malone, and newly awarded Nikola Jokic will try to turn things around in Game 3 at the Target Arena on Thursday.
