Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum has initiated divorce proceedings from her husband, New York Giants tight end Darren Waller.

The 29-year-old point guard took to social media to address the news and reflect on her marriage.

"I'm devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it's time to go. God has given me an incredible life, and I'm truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day I'll share my story, today is not that day," the two-time WNBA champion posted on both Instagram Stories and X, formerly Twitter.

Plum was previously the NCAA women's basketball's all-time leading scorer before Caitlin Clark surpassed her tally during the latest college hoops season. Meanwhile, Waller was a Pro Bowl selection in 2020.

Court documents revealed that Plum and Waller filed a joint petition for divorce in Clark County, Nevada, on Tuesday, April 23, according to PEOPLE.

The couple tied the knot just a year ago on March 4, 2023.

Several athletes attended the ceremony, including NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, and Plum's Las Vegas Aces teammate Candace Parker.

Waller was previously playing for the Las Vegas Raiders at the time of their wedding, and they were among the most prominent athletes in the city.
