Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray delivered perhaps one of the greatest playoff moments in NBA history during their 101-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Monday, April 22, at the Ball Arena in Denver.

With the game tied at 99 in the closing moments, the 27-year-old guard created separation on the right baseline to sink a midrange jumper over Lakers star Anthony Davis, sealing the win with zeroes on the clock.

Despite the monumental moment, Murray struggled for much of the game, and he revealed how his teammates motivated him on the way to his impressive fourth-quarter performance.

"I told my teammates when I was struggling, 'I'm gonna look for y'all. I'm gonna look for y'all.' And every single one of them told me to 'keep shooting, keep shooting. Be aggressive. Keep shooting.' Even when I was throwing up that bulls**t floater," Murray told the TNT crew moments after the shot.

The Nuggets sealed a remarkable 20-point comeback with Murray's incredible game-winner, securing their tenth consecutive victory over the Lakers dating back to January 2023.

Jamal Murray struggled for most of the game

The former Kentucky player encountered difficulties during the game's first three quarters, managing just six points on a disappointing 3-of-16 shooting.

However, he found his rhythm in the fourth quarter, tallying 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. This included a game-tying mid-range jumper with around 30 seconds left and the game-winning shot.

Murray concluded the evening with 20 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two blocks.
