Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst JJ Redick is one of today's most prominent sports media personalities.
However, the 39-year-old might soon be on the verge of transitioning to the sidelines.
The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly conducting an interview with Redick for their vacant head coaching position, according to league insider Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Earlier this month, the team announced that current head coach Steve Clifford will step down at the end of the 2023-24 regular season and is expected to transition into an advisory role within the Hornets' front office for 2024-25.

Charania added that the 15-season former NBA veteran has shown interest in transitioning to coaching in recent years.
While he was one of the best shooters in the league during his prime, Redick has no professional or collegiate coaching experience at any level.
