AEW's flagship show, Dynamite, opened in an intriguing manner in its latest episode, which aired on Tuesday, April 3.
Adam Copeland, more commonly recognized as Edge during his tenure with rival promotion WWE, reflected on his journey while addressing the backlash the company has received.
"Theres been a lot of negative BS that has been spewed this week, there has. Screw that. I wanna talk about the positives, and if you're a fan of pro wrestling, man, it is a great time to be a fan of pro wrestling," the 50-year-old told the audience at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
After reflecting on several topics, including missing nearly a decade of action due to a frightening neck injury, Copeland concluded his promo with a bold message.

"AEW makes pro-wrestling more fun, better & AEW is where the best wrestle," the WWE Hall of Famer said to end his segment.
His speech seems to be directed towards CM Punk, who made disparaging comments about the promotion earlier this month.

Former AEW talent CM Punk, who recently made a sensational return to the WWE, conducted an unfiltered interview on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour earlier this month.
In the interview, the 45-year-old made unflattering comments about AEW CEO Tony Khan and criticized the promotion as a whole, sharing that they did not help him while he was suffering an injury.
Punk also said the company is not a genuine business focused on profitability.
