Caleb Williams, the former USC Trojans quarterback projected to be the first overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft, has revealed his pick for the greatest football player of all time.

Surprisingly, his choice does not align with the more conventional selections, such as retired seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady or reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Football, winning and things like that, mentality-Tom Brady," Williams initially said during the 2024 NFL Draft Combined at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The six-foot-one signal-caller then disclosed his actual bet.

"My football GOAT is Aaron Rodgers," the 22-year-old added shortly.

The Chicago Bears possess the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they find themselves contemplating whether to choose Williams or explore the possibility of trading down to acquire additional assets.

Caleb Williams models his game after Aaron Rodgers

The Washington D.C. native has stated that he models his playing style after the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player.

"I try to model my game after a bunch of guys, but Aaron Rodgers I would say is number one," the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner said.

Rodgers is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, and he won the Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers during the 2010 season, also claiming the Super Bowl MVP in the process.
