The Colorado Buffaloes may not have gotten a Cinderella ending this season, although there is reason to be upbeat in the coming years. Deion Sanders continues to plant the seeds through recruitment, and one big name they got was wide receiver Dre'Lon Miller.

The 4-star wide receiver from Silsbee, Texas, announced he was headed to Boulder. Miller originally committed to play for Texas A&M but retracted after the dismissal of Jimbo Fisher in November, per Bleacher Report.

He visited the LSU Trojans, the Auburn Tigers, the Miami Hurricanes, and USC in the summer and eventually chose the Buffs. A reason behind that is his connection with Coach Prime.

"I felt the connection instantly. You know, I feel like that was God giving me the sign," Miller said to Blake Baumgartner of ESPN.

Miller connects with Shedeur Sanders

After officially committing to the Buffaloes, Miller shared that he spoke to Shedeur Sanders on Sunday morning, December 10.

"He was just congratulating me and let me know to get ready. 'This thing about to be fun,'" Miller said in his talk with Sanders.

There are big things to expect for the Buffs ahead. Miller is joining a Colorado offense that averaged 28.2 points and 363.6 total yards per game, 55th and 79th in the nation, respectively.

Coach Prime is upbeat that the Buffs will do better in 2024. After starting the season strong, the Buffs struggled in the end. They finished this football season with a 4-8 record.

"We didn't accomplish what we wanted, but we accomplished what we needed. I think hope is instilled, tremendously, in this city, in the student body, within this team, within this building and you see the direction that we're headed," Sanders said before their 23-17 loss to the Utah Utes last November 25 via The Athletic.
