The Buffalo Bills are in a different situation after being installed as one of the favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII. They have struggled, and one of the problems pointed out is their offensive shortcomings.

Following their loss to the Denver Broncos, 22-24, on Monday, November 13, the Bills decided to fire offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. In his place is Joe Brady, who will serve on an interim basis, ESPN reported.

The move was meant to find consistent production, explained by Bills head coach Sean McDermott. For now, the Bills have to find a way to get back on track if they are to make the postseason. The loss pushed them out of the playoff picture, and McDermott hopes the change can help.

It will be a tall order for McDermott and company to get back on the Super Bowl track. Suffering four losses in their last six games, Buffalo needs to make its move now with the other half of the NFL season starting, CBS Sports reported.

Here are some of the issues that McDermott and the company must deal with moving forward.

Key players out for the season

The Bills will be without two key players for the rest of the way. Linebacker Matt Milano (leg, knee) and cornerback Tre'Davious White (Achilles) have been ruled out for the season due to their injuries.

So, aside from offense, the Bills need to find a way to play better defense. McDermott will need better showings from players like cornerback Dane Jackson, Dorian Wilson, and Tyrel Dodson, per Buffalonews.com. However, the Bills may need more help to turn their NFL run around this season.

Bills need to start strong in every game

One thing noticeable for the Bills is that they tend to get left behind in the early goings of any game. While they find a way to catch up, it is a situation that must be addressed.

That effort may work against weaker teams. But they may not be lucky when the Bills face stronger ones, such as the New York Giants. It is an area that needs addressing on both ends as soon as possible.

Bills need more offensive sock

Scoring has become noticeable for the Bills in their last couple of games, and McDermott has no answer to their offensive struggles. Josh Allen has been performing well on paper but has not translated to wins.

Allen tries to make big plays downfield, but that has not helped the Bills. His passing is needed more, although a shoulder injury also affects his game.

The 27-year-old was initially seen as someone who could win the MVP award this season. But with Allen struggling, the more important problem right now is finding rhythm and helping the Bills get back on track.

There are suggestions that Allen has fallen prey to the "Madden Curse." For those who may not be aware of this, it is when an athlete appears on the cover of an EA Sports video game.

Superstitious people suggest that once a player becomes the video game's cover, they either suffer a serious injury or see his performance dip, per SI.com.
