FC Barcelona has another upcoming potential star from their famed La Masia academy.
Striker Marc Guiu debuted for the reigning La Liga champions during their home game against Athletic Club on Sunday, October 22, having been called up from the club's under-19 team, Juvenil A.
Entering the game in the 79th minute for midfielder Fermin Lopez, the 17-year-old only needed 23 seconds to score his first goal for Barcelona, which was Guiu's first touch of the ball in his senior professional career.
The tantalizing strike proved the difference between the two clubs as Barcelona took home three points, 1-0.
"I told him he would have one good chance. I love seeing the face of these kids. They have no fear," Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez said after the match.
Guiu's journey with the Spanish giants traces back to the 2013-14 season when he first joined the club's youth academy.
He made his unofficial debut for the main team in a pre-season friendly against Japanese club Vissel Kobe last June.
