Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has revealed the facial injuries he sustained following a major fire pit accident at his home on Friday, September 29.

The 27-year-old shared a photo via his Instagram, revealing the extent of the burns on his face.

In their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, October 1, Njoku not only stepped onto the field but also emerged as the team's leader with six receptions and 46 yards while dealing with facial injuries.

Before the game, Njoku arrived at the stadium wearing a mask, concealing his face and preventing a close-up view of the former Miami Hurricanes standout.

Unfortunately, the Browns suffered a home loss at the FirstEnergy Stadium, falling to the Ravens with a score of 28-3.

The Browns had a bye week during the current week and will resume play on Sunday, October 15, when they face the San Francisco 49ers at their home field.

David Njoku raises money for the American Burn Association

The tight end is now using his setback as a chance to give back. He has introduced a line of merchandise, with a portion of the sales proceeds designated for direct donations to the American Burn Association.

"The doctors at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center were instrumental in my recovery, and I am forever grateful for their expertise and care. By working with the ABA, I hope to provide resources and support to burn survivors and their families," Njoku said.
