Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James spoke up regarding New York Jets star Aaron Rodgers' season-ending Achilles injury sustained during their Monday Night Football showdown against the Buffalo Bills.

Posting on his Instagram story, the 38-year-old reposted a quote from Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson regarding a heartbreaking message that Rodgers told him at halftime.

"Damn man!! That hurt... Get well ASAP 8!," the NBA's all-time leading scorer said about the four-time NFL MVP's injury.

MRI results confirmed on Tuesday, September 12, that the 39-year-old suffered an Achilles tear, one of the worst injuries known in sports.

The Super Bowl XLV MVP went down during the game's first drive after being sacked by Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd.

"Not the way any of us wanted it to go, but we know the commitment you've made to this team will continue to impact us moving forward," the Jets said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, when the extent of the injury was confirmed.

Jets coach Robert Saleh confirms starting quarterback

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh has made it clear that third-year quarterback Zach Wilson will be the team's starter moving forward.

"This is Zach's team and we're rolling with Zach," the 44-year-old said.

Wilson was selected by the Jets with the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 24-year-old was supposed to learn the ropes from the future Hall of Famer this season, but his time on the sidelines is over, as the team needs him to make some noise in the AFC.
