Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's road to recovery following an on-field cardiac arrest will be the subject of a documentary entitled "Did We Win," and will have Skydance Sports and NFL Films among the executive producers.

The 25-year-old notably suffered a cardiac arrest during a Week 17 game between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals on January 2, 2023, after he tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Hamlin stood up momentarily after the play, then collapsed afterward. Doctors confirmed that he suffered from commotio cordis, a rare occurrence wherein a blow to the chest disrupts the cardiac rhythm during a specific 40-millisecond span in the heart's electrical cycle.

Clay Tweel will direct the documentary film.

The title refers to Hamlin's question when he first woke up, asking who won the Bills-Bengals game.

The game was initially suspended that evening, and since the result wouldn't affect which teams would make the postseason, it was canceled two days later.

Damar Hamlin's status for Week 1

The former Pittsburgh player will not see action during the Bills' season opener against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

Hamlin will be a healthy inactive, and the reason is more tactical than health reasons, as the Bills have many other options in the safety position.

Hamlin played in all three of the Bills' preseason games.
