New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge has given his side regarding manager Aaron Boone, who is at risk of being relieved from his duties after a highly disappointing season for the 27-time World Series winners.
The Yankees captain told SNY's Andy Martino he believes Boone is still the right man for the job despite the recent poor results.
"I've been with Boonie all the way since 2018. He's the guy. He has been there for us in good times and bad times. The guy shows up and supports his players," the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player said.
The five-time MLB All-Star noted that you can tell by the number of times that Boone has been thrown out of games that he always has the players' backs.
Judge also added that the passionate 50-year-old manager is the right choice when it comes to handling the job of nurturing prospects as they try to become big leaguers.

Unfamiliar territory for the New York Yankees
The Yankees are at the bottom of the American League East standings with a 70-70 win-loss record. They are 6.5 games behind the final Wild Card spot of the AL.
Despite the disastrous season, the Yankees have hit their groove lately, winning eight of their last ten games.
They also had a season-high five-game winning streak, which was snapped on Thursday evening with a 10-3 loss against the Detroit Tigers.
