The Los Angeles Angels will be in for an interesting offseason after missing the MLB playoffs. Changes are bound to happen, although they may not be limited to the players on the team, such as Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout.

With a major team overhaul looming, the big names at the helm may also end up looking for new jobs in the offseason. With that in mind, Angels general manager Perry Minasian and team manager Phil Nevin could also end up looking for new employment, SI.com suggested.

Of the two, the chances of seeing Nevin return to the Angels do not look promising. With Los Angeles leaning more on starting fresh, seeing new leaders at the helm is likely happening as well.

On whether Nevin will return, the Angels team manager holds no ill feelings at his current cast of players, the OC Register reported.

"No reason to be angry with them. I've said it all along, they come in and they prepare and practice and play to win. That hasn't changed for me," the 52-year-old said.

Undoubtedly, Nevin is handling the flak as professionally as he can. The players are not at fault for the misfortunes of the Angels, but missing the playoffs is a big issue.

Ohtani won' fall short of suitors

With Ohtani set to hit free agency, the 29-year-old is expected to get his share of suitors. However, his health may affect the offers he would be getting.

"Shotime" suffered a tear in the UCL of his throwing elbow, raising questions about his future as a pitcher. But despite this, pundits feel that Ohtani is projected to sign a contract in the range of $500 million at the least.
