Christian Cage, William Jason Reso in real life, was not in action at AEW's All Out show on Sunday, instead accompanying Luchasaurus to the ring. He did get involved in the match to help his protégé win, hitting a Con-chair-to on now-former champion, Darby Allin.
Cage has been doing well for the promotion since joining AEW in 2021. Not many were on board with the hype, but the 49-year-old has proven his doubters wrong.
Now, the Canadian wrestler claims that he has been rewarded by AEW top brass Tony Khan with a new long-term deal.

"I know I proved Tony Khan right because he re-signed me to a big fat contract. He opened the vault for me, and I deserve every single penny that I got," Cage said in the post-show media scrum via Ringside News.
No Edge update from Cage
Unsurprisingly, Cage was asked to comment on allegations that his former WWE tag team partner, Edge (Adam Copeland), may be joining the AEW. The 49-year-old declined to make any statement.
As far as the latest on Edge, there remains no update on what lies ahead for the WWE Hall of Famer. After failing to agree on a new contract with the WWE, there are rumblings that he could call it a career, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer claimed via Felix Upton of Ringside News.
It appears that Edge's match against Sheamus in Toronto was supposed to be the last one for the Rated-R superstar. However, it was not promoted as one, although the recent developments could be pointing towards that.
