Retired WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is now busy in the world of acting, although he still makes cameo appearances in the wrestling world.

Christened as "The Great One," it wasn't easy for The Rock to reach where he is right now. He worked his way to the top, and all his efforts have paid off.

He is now one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood and has properly managed his earnings. Taken altogether, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's net worth for 2023 is pegged to be at $800 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Where did The Rock's riches come from?

Without question, Johnson had his share of good earnings performing at the WWE. However, his starring roles in several films bolstered his income.

He had his first taste of big money when he appeared on "The Scorpion King" in 2001, earning $5.5 million. It was all uphill from there, with the 51-year-old seeing his pay increase with each film he made.

So far, his most significant salary was for "Red One" in 2023. He earned $50 million for that role. Given his continued rise and popularity, expect the former WWE champion to rake in more moving forward with his acting job.

As far as doing TV series, Johnson also got a lot from the HBO series, "Ballers." He was paid $650,000 per episode, earning roughly $6.5 million in a 10-episode season.

Johnson could be among the billionaires soon.

Aside from acting, Johnson has made wise business investments as well. Among the notable ones is his stake with Teremana Tequila. Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rolling Stone reported that the tequila brand has become one of the most popular celebrity spirits in the market.

The Rock owns a 30 to 40% stake in the company and has an estimated valuation of $2 billion. Hence, it may only be a matter of time before the former wrestler and now-entertainer will join that elite list of billionaires worldwide.

The Dwayne Johnson Foundation

Just like most successful personalities, Johnson does not forget to give back. He established the Dwayne Johnson Foundation in 2006, a charity that helps terminally ill kids.

The 51-year-old also made a huge $1 million donation to the University of Miami to help improve the school's football facility in 2007. It was the largest donation ever given to the university by an alumnus, according to the Miami Hurricane.

Johnson's real estate investments

The Rock initially had a home near Fort Lauderdale in 2019 but eventually sold it for $4.5 million.

Johnson would then spend $9.5 million in 2019 to purchase a 46-hectare equestrian estate in Power Springs, Georgie. This included a 15,000-square-foot home that had eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.

However, Johnson put the property up for sale after just 14 months. It was reportedly bought for $7.5 million.

In 2021, the famous actor bought Paul Reiser's Beverly Park Mansion, paying $27.8 million. The Mediterranean-style mansion is a 17,630 square-foot home in a gated community that has six bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms, a tennis court, and a baseball diamond, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Rock's car collection

Like most, Johnson also has a lavish collection of cars. He owns an array of lush vehicles in his collection.

That includes a Ford F150 truck, a Pagani Huayra supercar, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren 650S, and a custom-built Ford Mustang. Of those, the Ferrari LaFerrari is the most expensive at $3,350,000 per CarHP.

The Rock has come a long way, and the future can only get brighter. Expect the retired wrestler/entertainer and now successful actor to rake in more wealth at that rate.
