Former Milwaukee Bucks top 2 pick Jabari Parker may have found a new lease on his basketball life after reports from Spain revealed possible tenure with Barcelona.

Parker hasn't seen a professional basketball court since 2022 with the Boston Celtics.

His health is one major hurdle why his career did not take off. Spanish reports said he passed that hurdle to be able to play for the ACB champions.

Mundo Deportivo reported that Parker passed the mandatory medical to become eligible to play. He is expected to replace Nikola Mirotic, who left the club due to a contract dispute that will even reach a legal court.

Barcelona is among the elite teams in Europe, having won 20 Spanish Championships and 27 Spanish Cups.

Parker, 28, came to the league in 2014 with high expectations together with Andrew Wiggins. However, two ACL injuries rendered him unplayable for the Bucks, forcing them not to re-sign him and instead focus on the development of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who eventually brought them their first title in 50 years.

Parker staying in shape

Parker last played for the Celtics but only saw 12 appearances under limited minutes and averaged 4.4 points per game.

He disappeared for a while, but that does not mean he is in bad shape already.

Parker was among the players called upon by the Phoenix Suns for a free-agent workout.

He was also supposed to be part of the Bucks' Summer League, but things went a different way last minute.
