It is like a fever dream, but many basketball fans can't help but get amused by the story of a Reddit user who only learned about his favorite team's NBA title victory two years since it happened.

Reddit user u/B_R_O_G_D_O_N2 casually shared his story on the platform about how he is a huge Milwaukee Bucks fan but was forced to stop following their campaign because he was jailed in Russia.

He is specifically a fan of Malcolm Brogdon, who, probably to his surprise, has been with two other teams since his incarceration.

The user said he was released recently and managed to go to a friend in Munich, and there, he was briefed on what went on while he was inside the prison.

He said he knows nothing about the current storylines in the NBA but was told his favorite Milwaukee Bucks already won a title after 50 years through the lead of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who he probably did not witness winning two MVPs.

Verification and reactions

Some Reddit users tried to verify whether the OP was telling the truth, and they found out that the user had been on Twitter for quite a long time and hadn't posted anything in the last five years.

"Excluding today, his most recent posts/comments were from 5 years ago. So yeah, he's either incredibly dedicated or was legitimately in a Russian prison or something, haha," another user commented.

Other people in and out of Reddit are also divided since this feels more like a fever dream for them.
