Fans can now heave a sigh of relief on the status of new recruit Foster Moreau as the tight-end revealed his cancer is now in full remission.

Full remission means all signs and symptoms that one can feel from cancer have completely disappeared.

The New Orleans Saints player shared the good news on Twitter and thanked everyone who stayed by his side and showed support.

"After a few tumultuous months, I've been blessed with the news that I am in full remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma!" he said.

"I'm so grateful to everyone who reached out to offer their love and support; our prayers were answered. From here I will continue to live my life as God intended."

Saints never doubted Moreau's quality

An organization typically distances itself from a player who has the possibility of leaving the team for a long while.

However, that is not the case for the Saints, who signed Moreau right after his diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer that affects certain white blood cells and the immune system.

The disease was discovered in March 2022, and the Saints signed him in May from the Las Vegas Raiders.

His full recovery means fans will again see his tandem with Derek Carr, who also joined the team this offseason.

Moreau himself is excited about this opportunity.

"Derek told all of us, 'You only get this chance once, please make it count, and don't make it count for anyone other than you,'" he said last May during news of his signing with the Saints.

"It was so powerful for me. I remember where he was sitting. I remember how he said it. Just a special guy and a special leader."
