The Denver Nuggets are on the verge of reaching the NBA Finals, needing just one more win. However, Nikola Jokic isn't taking it easy yet. Despite no NBA team ever overcoming a 3-0 deficit, Jokic isn't ready to celebrate until they officially eliminate LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jokic expressed his concerns in ther postgame conference on Saturday, stating that while he isn't scared, he is worried because of the presence of LeBron on the opposing side. Jokic acknowledged James' ability to do everything on the court.

"To be honest, I'm not going say that I'm scared, but I'm worried because they have LeBron on the other side, and he's capable of doing everything," Jokic shared.

Nikola Jokic Respects LeBron James

This respect shown by Nikola Jokic towards James is appreciated by NBA fans, especially considering that not everyone has demonstrated the same respect during this postseason. Jokic could have boasted about his own skills and achievements but instead chose to honor James.

James continues to perform at a high level in his 16th postseason, averaging 23.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. However, in this series, he is not the best player on the court. That distinction belongs to Jokic, who has accumulated 81 points, 44 rebounds and 34 assists in the three Nuggets victories over the Lakers.

Jokic is maintaining a triple-double average this postseason and is contributing 29.9 points per game with an impressive 47.1% 3-point shooting percentage.

For the Lakers to stage a historic comeback, they may need a tremendous effort from James. Their steep uphill battle begins in Game 4 on Monday night, which could potentially be a series-clinching game.
