"Death Stranding" is one of the most mysterious upcoming games that has taken the internet by storm. It will be Hideo Kojima's next game following his departure from Konami, the company whom the famed developer spent most of his career. And in typical Kojima fashion, the director has been teasing bits of information that may or may not be about his new game. One of those teases revolves around the involvement of "La La Land" actress Emma Stone.

Hideo Kojima is known to admire the Oscar-winning Emma Stone as he has publicly admitted it. He also mentioned how he loves Stone's most recent movie and how it has changed his perspective. So the rumor with Emma Stone appearance for "Death Stranding" shouldn't be far off.

In fact, in his most recent tweet, Hideo Kojima has once again teased about the inevitable partnership with Emma Stone. According to Gaming Bolt, Hideo Kojima posted a tweet that included pictures that show a vinyl of Emma's movie "La La Land" together with a printed material of "Death Stranding" on a table. The tweet is the most clue pertaining to the partnership.

Mad Mikkelsen, who will play the villain's role for "Death Stranding" was also asked about the rumor in an event. The actor said that he liked the speculation of Emma Stone playing as the female lead of the game but declined to divulge further. It seems that with his enthusiastic reply, the rumor might be true.

Looking back, the rumor of Emma Stone joining "Death Stranding" started back with a tweet from Hideo Kojima last December. The tweet suggested that the director met with the actress but did explicitly said so. The post included an image of a female mannequin wearing a Lionsgate beanie. Lionsgate is the company that handles "La La Land" which led to the speculation.

Then again, it wouldn't be surprising if all this is just a cruel joke by Hideo Kojima. Emma Stone may or may not be joining "Death Stranding." But as long as Kojima is involved, it's certain that gamers wouldn't mind Emma not participating.
