Talks for the upcoming "Destiny 2" which is scheduled for this year are ramping up as the first game of the series comes to a close. So far, nothing specific has been announced for the sequel prior to the latest leak. The report comes from an image that claims to be an official poster for the sequel which indicates the date of release.

According to wccftech, an image of a poster has surfaced online that reveals a September 8 release for "Destiny 2." The poster is in Italian as it supposedly comes from GameStop Italy. Moreover, the poster also suggests that Sony will be working with Activision for the game as a Sony logo can be seen on the poster.

Looking back, Sony heavily marketed the first game of the series. The tech company has released PS4 bundles that include a copy of the game as well as a special edition console. Sony also had exclusive privileges which include early access and limited time exclusive content. Judging from the poster, we can assume that Sony has a similar agreement with Activision for "Destiny 2."

Meanwhile, GameZone reports that the poster also indicates that Bungie will host an open beta prior to the release of "Destiny 2." The first game had testing phase months before it was released. It is assumed that the sequel will follow a similar schedule.

But with Sony once again teaming up with Activision, expect them to get an early access to the open beta of "Destiny 2." Sony had a head start for the open beta of the first game. Xbox users followed suit a week after where players who participated in the beta totaled to 4.6 million.

This has been the closest to an official statement we've had for months. Information regarding "Destiny 2" has been far and few in between. But gamers can assure that Bungie will be improving upon the criticisms of the first game. And without last-gen technology holding them back, gamers can expect a much bigger improvement for "Destiny 2."
