LG succeed to put a big screen in a compact body with G6. Although company tried to do the same in G5 but it failed. Everyone doesn't like phablets but they like a big screen in a smartphone, LG G6 is the perfect example of it.

LG G6 features a 5.7-inch screen but it doesn't feel like that when it is in user's hand. According to Digital Times, it is easy to stretch thumb across to the other side of the phone when holding it in one hand and it remains usable all the times. But there will be a struggle while trying with other 5.5-inch screen phones.

LG minimized the size of the bezels and chose an 18:9 aka 2:1 aspect ratio instead of 16:9. This ratio will be very helpful for Android 7 Nougat's multi-tasking split-screen mode. The running two apps will use the same square space.

As written in Forbes, LG says the 18:9 aspect ratio was designed to give a cinematic feel. Though most videos are shot in 16:9 aspect ratio, some new Netflix shows are shot with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Damien Chazelle shot "La La Land" in extra wide CinemaScope film that could be enjoyed fully on the LG G6 more than other phones.

The screen is also rounded like bezels that give LG G6 a modern look. It is a glass and a metal phone and protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back.Nowadays, many phones are getting smaller by reducing bezel. Redmi also tried to remove the bezel in Mi Mix.

LG G6 is also the first phone to come with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 support that will make the image look more lifelike. LG sets the new standard in the smartphone market with G6 and it is very impressive.
