Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2's alleged details were leaked online in the month of January, along with image and pricing. Now if latest report is to believe then the smartphone is expected to launch this month and will be powered by a MediaTek's Helio P25 processor.

The successor to last year's Xiaomi Redmi Pro will be launched later in this month. The device will be packing the same dual-camera configuration as its previous model according to a new rumour out of GizmoChina.

Separately, another rumor related to Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 has suggested that the smartphone will be packing MediaTek Helio P25 processor in the place of the not-yet-announced Snapdragon 660 that was suggested prior, reports Xiaomi Today. The Helio P25 SoC has an octa-core CPU, which consists of four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz and another four that only go up to 1.6GHz. It also comes with the ARM Mali-T880MP4 GPU and support for Cat.6 LTE, as per GSM Arena.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be having an all-metal unibody design with 2.5D curved glass display. Device will boast 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Redmi Pro 2 is also said to sport dual rear camera setup, in which it will have two 12-megapixel cameras with Sony IMX362 sensor.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be backed up by a 4500mAh battery. Moreover, it is expected to house a fingerprint scanner on its back panel as well, according to Android Headlines.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to ship in two variants, as already mentioned, first is 4GB RAM model to cost 1,599 Yuan ($231), whilst the second is 6GB RAM variant that might end up costing $260. The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be a mid-range smartphone, but quite a powerful mid-ranger. The new smartphone is expected to release officially at the end of this month.
