Motorola will launch its latest flagship smartphone Moto G5 Plus in India on March 15. The Moto G5 Plus will be a Flipkart-exclusive in the country.

Moto India has announced on Twitter that Moto G5 Plus will be available exclusively to the e-commerce site. There seems to be no word about the Moto G5, as of now, therefore whether the company would be launching it alongside the G5 Plus is still to be seen.

The Moto G5 Plus along with the Moto G5 was first announced at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. Both of them are new-age Moto G phones featuring of a full metal body and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, as per NDTV.

Both Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus are successors to last year's Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, offer some killer specs at relatively mainstream prices. While the Moto G5 has been priced at around INR 14,054, the Moto G5 Plus starts at around INR 15,275, however these are of course with respect to their European and US pricing. Their pricing may be a bit different on arrival in India, yet, looking at the history of the Moto G phones here, ideally, they should cost at under Rs 20,000.

Moto G5 comes with a 5-inch screen, while the Moto G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch display. Both the phones offer a 1080p resolution. The Moto G5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor; on the other hand Moto G5 Plus has a beefier Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 inside. While the Moto G5 comes with 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal memory which is expandable, the Moto G5 Plus comes with 2/4 GB of RAM and 16/64 GB of internal memory which is expandable, as reported by India Today.

The Moto G5 Plus features a 12-megapixel camera on the back with dual autofocus and f/1.7 aperture, while the Moto G5 is coming with a standard 13-megapixel camera. Both phones are having a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus run an almost unmodified version of Android Nougat with Google's AI assistant inside it. The Moto G5 is backed by a 2,800mAh battery, while the Moto G5 Plus has a 3,000mAh battery. Both devices are bringing competition to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which is dominating the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment presently.
