After releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, AT&T has now started rolling out the Nougat update to rugged Galaxy S7 Active. The update is coming in Over The Air (OTA) form and weighs in at 1.5GB in terms of size.

According to the support page for the update, the file download size from AT&T is net 1.58GB, and it will have the build number of NRD90M.G891AUCU2BQB2. If you are downloading this file then you are advised to download it with a Wi-Fi connection rather than on AT&T's cellular wireless network.

Apart from the Android Nougat update, the file download from AT&T will also have the February 2017 Android security patches, along with the Samsung Cloud, Samsung Pass, and App Select apps. While it may be adding some apps, the update will also remove the AT&T Address Book app from the phone. You should also keep in mind that this update has just started to roll out so it may not be available to download immediately for all of AT&T's Galaxy S7 Active owners, as per Android Authority.

This update will also bring some core changes to the device. User can look forward to improved Doze mode, new set of emojis, improved multi-window feature, revamped notifications, various UI changes, data saver, and quick switching between apps.
