During his stay in the NBA D-League and his brief exposure with his 4 previous teams, he is just known by everybody as Stephen Curry's younger brother. Thanks to his stellar play and the faith that the Mavericks had given him, he is now Seth Curry.

Talking about bringing your game to a different level, Seth is definitely up for the task of carving his own identity in the big league. The path that he took isn't as easy as his brother throwing his quick release shots from 35-feet as he had his struggles in getting to an NBA team to let him crack into their rotation.

After being undrafted in the 2013 draft, the then 23-year old Seth bounced around the D-League and in the NBA. The league website documented his signing with the Golden State Warriors, giving him the chance to team up with his brother. What's interesting is that Seth, just like his dad Dell and Steph, only used the jersey number 30 but he was waived before the season even started but the CBS Sacramento had an image of the brothers rocking the white and gold jersey, with Seth wearing jersey number 3.

Then, the roller-coaster ride to the developmental league and to the pros started. He was signed by the Memphis Grizzlies and was again waived after playing 4 minutes against Detroit in January 5, 2014. Santa Cruz Warriors appeared to be Seth's destination every time he is being cut but in 2015, the internet went crazy.

The NBA Finals are all up and rolling and GSW is led by Steph and Klay Thompson, dubbing them as "Splash Brothers". Little that everybody know, The Post Game reported that the team's D-League affiliate also had their own Splash Brothers as the Seth and Klay's older brother Mychel were together on the same team. Steph and Klay eventually won the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers that year but Seth and Mychel lost their own championship series together as Santa Cruz lost to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

After signing with the Orlando Magic, his D-League rights were sent to Orlando's affiliate Erie Bayhawks and was again waived before the season. He signed a 10-day contract by the Phoenix Suns but did not get a second 10-day offer.

He was part of the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA Summer League in 2015 and was finally offered a guaranteed deal by the Sacramento Kings as reported by Yahoo!. ESPN stats show that he played 44 games with the Kings where he averages 6.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15.7 minutes.

The following year, the Mavericks website announced that they have signed him, though, the terms were not disclosed as per team policy. This time, nobody knew that Seth-sanity is bound to happen.

With the departure of Deron Williams as we previously reported, he solidified his hold as the team's main combo guard. After waiving Williams after the All Star break, Seth finally had his string of breakout games for Dallas.

In the team's 7 games after the annual event, he has been a major contributor to the team's offense, averaging 22.6 points, 3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 34.8 minutes. With Seth and fellow rising star Yogi Ferrell, who was also undrafted in this year's draft, Dallas Mavericks' backcourt is definitely in good hands. Not to mention, they still have one of the league's best smallest guards in JJ Barea and Wesley Matthews, who have been carrying the team's attack for the previous seasons.

Curiously, SB Nation reported that with Seth leaving Sacramento, he is an addition to the growing numbers that the Kings had given up who ended up as their new team's gem. Hassan Whiteside has been blocking shots like he's telling everybody that the game is basketball in the offense and volleyball in the defense. Isaiah Thomas has been filling the scoring sheets up, especially during the final 12 minutes with the Celtics. Boston.com even labeled him as the team's best 4th quarter scorer since Paul Pierce. And finally, DeMarcus Cousins doing DeMarcus Cousins stuff with Anthony Davis in the Bayou.

Perseverance, dedication and hard work is what the pair of Currys possess to be at their position right now. The older Curry is gunning for a revenge to reclaim their lost title against the Cavs while the younger one is proving that he belongs to the NBA.

This season, he finally proved that he is not just a brother of an all-star guard who shoots the ball like a machine. He can now face everybody with his head held high and introduce himself to the public as Seth Curry.

And we love to think that Dell is one proud dad.
