Rose will become a free agent in the summer, Pistons will have the money to buy free agents this coming summer.

Orlando Magic are another team desperate to make changes at point guard. The Knicks are also looking to dump up some salary while the Magic really what to do with their franchise. They also would like to just dump the salaries of D.J Augustin and Jeff Green to New York.

The Knicks will, in turn, get a cheaper alternative at point guard in Augustin with Brandon Jennings already looking for a big contract. On the other hand, Green is a good fit in New York and should be good for both parties.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have an interest in Rose too as reported. The player has ties with Minnesota with their head coach Tom Thibodeau. The Timberwolves are rumored to unload Ricky Rubio and the two teams can swap up.

Minnesota is looking for a temporary point guard until Kris Dunn is ready to start again for them.Rose is that kind of player who is fitting for the team and can add offensive scoring too. However, these teams linked with the player now are just rumors and confirmation still awaits.
