After all the drama we have witnessed between Carmelo Anthony and Phil Jackson, it appears now that the Knicks' All-Star isn't going anywhere in this NBA Trade deadline. Carmelo hasn't been willing to raise his no-trade clause for any of the offers Knicks sent his way. On the other hand, Washington Wizards will look to give up its first-round pick to bolster some bench strength.

Teams like Clippers, Cavaliers, and Bulls have been showing interest in making a deal the Knicks would accept for Anthony, but the deal lacked significant assets to go through resulting in no trade. No deadline trade wouldn't necessarily mean Carmelo will be a Knicks player next season, there are summer trade rumors that will heat up the situation for sure.

Apparently, Washington Wizards will have an eye on Lakers' guard Lou Williams and Nets' forward Bojan Bogdanovic. Trading a first-round pick in a deep draft to get a bench scorer for just a few months doesn't seem a good idea, but the Wizards have won 18 of their last 21 games and are quickly closing in on the Celtics and Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland has had their injury problems this season alright, this might be the right time to go into a win-now mode for the Wizards and try to steal one of the top two seeds in the East.

Williams is a straight buy for the Wizards who was no problem fitting into any team. This season, he has been averaging a career-high 18.6 points off the bench for the Lakers. He is also a leading candidate to win his second Sixth Man of the Year award. Bogdanovic isn't a prolific scorer but he is certainly an upgrade to what Wizards are currently working with.
