Eugenie Bouchard went on a blind date with a 20-year old Chicago resident and University of Missouri student John Goehrke, they both went to a Nets game with John having courtside seats with the 22-year old tennis star. They went on a date as a payment by Bouchard who lost the bet to John over Twitter during Super Bowl.
Earlier in the day, Bouchard also let her fans know how happy she was after been included in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. She is the world's 44th ranked tennis player and a former Wimbledon finalist. In this edition of Sports Illustrated, Bouchard was joined by fellow tennis stars Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, in addition, they had gymnasts Simone Biles and Aly Raisman.
Bouchard revealed at the game in Brooklyn that making it a centerpiece of their date would be less weird then probably going to a one-on-one dinner with John as she didn't know him personally. She added saying the date is going great and the guy is normal.
John got an attention when he replied to a tweet Bouchard sent just after Tom Brady threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, which gave the Falcons a commanding 21-0 lead over the Patriots in the Super Bowl game a few days back. She posted saying she knew Atlanta would win anyway. When John asked whether she would go on a date with him if New England Patriots manage to win, she replied "Sure."
Of course, we all know Brady led the Patriots to an unbelievable comeback Super Bowl win. After this turn of events, Bouchard went ahead with and reached out John, asking in a tweet as to where does he live. Next day, she said she will do it and stay true to her words, although not before having some fun with the possibility of being in quite a regretful mood.
