The Chicago Bears are officially moving on from Jay Cutler after shopping the veteran quarterback in hopes of finding a trade partner. Cutler headlines today's NFL rumor roundup along with DeSean Jackson's potential return to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bears make Jay Cutler available via trade

According to Jeff Darlington of ESPN, the Bears are actively shopping Cutler this offseason despite having four years left on his contract. It is widely speculated since the middle of the season that the Bears are going to part ways with the veteran quarterback one way or another.

The 33-year-old quarterback has a no-trade clause on his deal but teams might not be willing to give up a late draft pick for him. Teams around the league know that Cutler no longer has guaranteed money on his contract and he can sit out an entire season or retire.

Cutler was already linked to a trade to the Miami Dolphins but no deal was finalized. Besides the Dolphins, some of the possible destinations for Cutler include the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Arizona Cardinals, per CBS Sports.

DeSean Jackson back to Philly?

Jackson is one of the best available wide receivers in this year's free agent market is expected to get a lot of suitors. He had 56 catches for 1,005 yards and four touchdowns for the Washington Redskins last season.

In a recent interview with ESPN, the 30-year-old wide receiver revealed that he is very open to signing and returning to Philadelphia. Jackson played for the Eagles from 2008 to 2013 but he was released in the 2014 offseason due to his off-field issues.

"It definitely is a great story. And I guess you can say, starting your career somewhere, and all this, going to a division rival team and having the possibility of maybe going back, I mean, you just kind of think about all that. You started somewhere, maybe you want to finish it," Jackson said.

Martellus Bennett to test free agency

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Bennett is going to test the free agent after just one season with the New England Patriots. In 16 games last season, he caught 55 passes for 701 yards and seven touchdowns.

Bennett played a big part in the Patriots huge comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons to claim their fifth Super Bowl championship. However, the 29-year-old tight end is looking for one final big payday.
