Gionee, the Chinese Smartphone manufacturing tech giant sent out the invites for its upcoming A1 and A1 Plus smartphones. The invites were for the upcoming mobile World Congress (MWC) event where the company will announce its smartphones on February 27, 2017.

Gionee is reported to have made invites in such a way that indicates that there will be a normal sized variant and the 'Plus' variant with relatively bigger size.

According to NDTV, Gionee is reported to launch A1 and A1 Plus smartphones at 11 AM CET (3:30 PM IST) on February 27. But, ahead of the Gionee A1 and A1 Plus launch event, the A1 device was leaked online in the live images with price and specifications accompanying the leak.

The Gionee A1 was leaked on a Nepali Site known as Gadgets in Nepal, where the phone's live images are seen having a price tag of NPR 35,999. Specifications and features that the phone will accompany are the 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the phone is leaked to be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek processor that's coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Also, the report of Nepali website claims that the Gionee A1 is incorporated with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Also, the phone is seen having an option of further storage expansion up to 128GB via external storage. Furthermore, the same report claims that it features 13MP rear camera and 16MP front camera with flash at the front for amazing selfies at low light conditions.

Other rumors on Gionee A1 suggest that the Smartphone will be featured by a 4010mAh battery with fast charging support, and fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Enthusiasts should take the leaks and rumors with grains of salt until Gionee makes official announcements on A1 and A1 Plus smartphones. Stay tuned for more updates.
