Samsung Galaxy S8 is ready to hit the tech market soon. 'Bixby' will be Samsung's first digital assistant for its smartphones and speculations are made that Bixby will have more capabilities and improvements over the rival digital assistants like Apple 'Siri' and 'Google Assistant.'

It is an era of digital assistants for the Smartphone users. The first digital Assistant from Apple for its iPhone revolutionized the Smartphone industry. Now, the recently unveiled Google Assistant has put the tech giant on top of the race.

According to imore, Siri is one of the best and innovative developments in the world. It is an Apple virtual assistant with a voice-controlled natural language interface that uses sequential inference and contextual awareness to help perform personal tasks for iOS users. Currently, Siri supports French, German, English, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, and Cantonese and can be used in wide variety of built-in services like iMessage, Mail, Stocks, Weather, Music, Safari, Calendars and many. Forbes reports that Apple might come with an upgraded digital assistant in the rumored iPhone 8 with improved features such as ordering item outside of subscription and expansion of support for the third-party apps.

On the other hand, Google introduced it's intelligent personal assistant to the tech market at Google I/O May 2016. The Google assistant is featured in the newly introduced Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, Google Home device, Allo app, and Android Wear. It is available in English, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, and Japanese languages and supports many applications as Apple's Siri does. Also, there are reports claiming that Google assistant is expected to arrive on Android TV and Android Auto.

Meanwhile, according to Pocket Lint, it is reported that Samsung's announcement on developing a first voice assistant based technology was made on November 2016. Samsung acquired Viv - an artificial intelligence firm run by Dag Kittlaus, who is behind the creation of Apple's Siri. This acquisition was taken in order to go head-to-head with Apple's Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon's Alexa, and Microsoft's Cortana.

It is also reported that Bixby is expected to be first heard in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship and will have a dedicated button on the phone. It is predicted that Bixby is likely to be more powerful than Google Assistant and Siri. Bixby could act as a digital scanner because of its support for optical character recognition (OCR), expected to support Bixby Pay, Contextual search and visual search, Third-party app integrations, and Home appliances.
