LG G6 To Feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, Launch on February 26, MWC 2017

LG G6, the most awaited flagship is expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. The fresh report claims that Smartphone vendor has confirmed that the LG G6 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

LG has already confirmed its presence in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) event by releasing its invites for this event. It is highly expected that the LG will unveil its best made LG G6 model in this event.

According to GIZBOT, LG G6 Smartphone was earlier rumored to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, now it is reported that the device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor for specific reasons.

The reason for not using the newly launched chipset from Qualcomm is reported to be because Samsung will be swiping off the first lot of the Snapdragon 835 chipsets for its upcoming Galaxy S8. Also, reports claim that Qualcomm has already collaborated with Samsung for the mass production of Snapdragon 835 chipsets that are likely to be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S8 Smartphone.

With this report of mass production, it was understood that if LG G6 features Snapdragon 835 processor, then it is reported that the launch of LG G6 will move to late-May or early-June.And, it I reported that any high-end Smartphone coming ahead of Galaxy S8 will not be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

According to NDTV, it is reported that LG has advantages on using the Snapdragon 821 chipset over the 835 chipset, as the company can launch the LG G6 prior to Galaxy S8 and would be able to attract many Smartphone enthusiasts as it will be loaded with amazing specifications and features.

Earlier, LG G6 is reportedly tipped to have water and dust resistant body, a rear fingerprint scanner, and a 5.7-inch QHD display with minimum bezels, a 6GB RAM coupled with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage options, a dual 16 MP rear cameras with sensor size of 12mm, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama and HDR support. The secondary camera will also be of 12MP, as per GSM Arena.
