WrestleMania 33 is the biggest WWE event of the year and it will be held at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on April 2. There is no official main event for WrestleMania 33 but here are the latest WWE news and updates on the possible last match on the card.

The typical WrestleMania main event should be for the most prestigious championship in the WWE. Since the company reintroduced the brand split last year, it is expected that the last match at WrestleMania 33 will be for the WWE or Universal title.

The last WrestleMania that did not have a title match for the main event was in 2012 when The Rock and John Cena faced off for the first time ever. However, the trend of main event title matches will continue this year.

According to Cageside Seats, Vince McMahon wants the Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar match to be the main event of WrestleMania 33. It is also expected that Goldberg will enter the event as the Universal champion.

The report noted that Goldberg vs. Lesnar III is almost a lock to be the last match at WrestleMania 33. This means that Goldberg is going to defeat Kevin Owens at Fastlane to win the Universal championship. Many fans do not like the idea but the WWE chairman believes the Goldberg-Lesnar feud is the biggest thing in the company at the moment.

Goldberg winning the championship is the best booking decision the WWE can make at this point because of how they failed to book Owens as a strong champion, per Daniel DeMarco of FanRag Sports Network. From the moment KO won the title with the help of Triple H to Chris Jericho helping him every single time, it did nothing to establish the Universal championship.

As for SmackDown Live's WWE championship, John Cena will defend his title at Elimination Chamber. He is not expected to come out as the winner. The rumored WWE championship match at WrestleMania 33 is Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton.
