The WWE is slowly easing back on mentioning Hulk Hogan on its television shows. The latest WWE rumors have revealed that Hogan will make his return to the WWE "sooner than later" which means he could be back before WrestleMania 33.

The 63-year-old wrestling legend was released and banned from the WWE on July 24, 2015, after a controversial audio was leaked. Hogan had several racist remarks on the audio from his sex tape as he expressed disgust on her daughter possibly dating a black man.

The WWE removed all references to Hogan on their website. He was also removed as a judge for Tough Enough and all of his merchandise was delisted from the WWE shop. Even mentioning his name on WWE television was forbidden.

However, the WWE has started mentioning Hogan's name on their program since late last year. The company was reportedly testing the waters if there would be any negative reactions from letting "Hulkamania" run wild again.

Hogan has already won his lawsuit against Gawker and he has been campaigning for a return to the WWE. Triple H is very open to the return of the WWE Hall of Famer back to the company as mentioned during his interview with Greg and the Morning Buzz last year.

"Re-establishing who he is as a human being, I'm sure is of utmost important to him, and I'm sure he's gonna do it, and when he does, we'll go from there," Triple H said.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, fans should expect Hogan to come back to the WWE "sooner than later". WrestleMania season is the perfect time for the WWE to bring back Hogan since many diehard and casual fans watch the product.

The return of Bill Goldberg, The Undertaker and Kurt Angle brought a lot of buzz to the WWE. Hogan, who is one of the most famous WWE superstars of all-time, will surely generate an even bigger buzz if he returns.
