Ben Affleck has just revealed to the public that he would be stepping down as the director of the upcoming movie of Warner Bros., "The Batman." He says that the reason behind this is that he can't do multiple big-time jobs at the same time. This is because he will also be playing the character of Batman. For him, the role he will play requires total focus and passion. And that he, being the director would surely divide his time and effort in his role as Batman.

Ben Affleck's first-time role as Batman in the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was met with mixed reviews. This is the reason why he was enticed to be a huge part of the upcoming "The Batman" movie. According to Time, the studio understands his cause and fully supports him with his decision. Affleck also said to the public that writing the script for Batman is "exhilarating", and that it was comparable to him jumping off of a plane.

But to keep things on the bright side, the upcoming movie will still be influenced by Ben Affleck a lot. Now, the much-asked question of who will direct "The Batman" circulates everywhere.

Most fans point to Zack Snyder. This also makes perfect sense as Snyder's theme perfectly matches the dark and action-packed feel that Batman movies need to have. According to NME, "The Batman" has not yet revealed its official release date.

It might not yet even be released by 2018. It is also reported that Deathstroke will be Batman's nemesis in "The Batman". Surely, this upcoming movie would be a big-time blockbuster by the time it gets released on the big screen. "The Batman" would indeed be one of the best and most favorite superhero films ever made.
