"The Last of Us 2" was already confirmed to be under development by Neil Druckmann, the game's creative director, and writer. However, there is still very little information we know about it, until now.

What to Expect

"The Last of Us 2" has just got its trailer revealed to the public last month and it debunked most of the rumors that came out beforehand. According to IB Times, the trailer shows that the game's storyline will be following the lives of Joel and Ellie as they make their way through the game's universe.

Meanwhile, Druckmann has also confirmed in one of his interviews that he, together with the other developers, would most likely introduce new characters in "The Last of Us 2." He also stated that if Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, the original voice actors for Ellie and Joel, would be unavailable, he would not think twice removing the two characters from the game.

One can then see that the story might get reconsidered if this was the case. According to the Videogames Republic, Druckmann had also released a strong statement pointing to the possibility of changing the landscape of the "The Last of Us 2."

Knowing the Theme

He said that he, together with the game developers and management are brainstorming on different themes for "The Last of Us 2." However, as what can be seen in the trailer, the theme of the game is still similar to that of the original.

Nonetheless, there are speculations suggesting that the game might be a little darker this time. For now, a normal revolver is being held by Joel.

Therefore, one can then conclude that the setting of the game is not a futuristic one. "The Last of Us 2" will surely be one of the video games that gamers and non-gamers would surely like. Let's just hope that the trend of innovation and improvement continues in the game itself.
