Google Might Announce Android 8 OS In May: Possible Names Of Android O Are Oreo, Orange, Oatcake and Oh! Henry

Google, the Android OS maker might be planning for the next version of an Android operating system. The company is expected to announce the next Android update-Android 8 to the tech market at the Google I/O conference.

It is a traditional thing by Google to announce new updates to its Android operating system. The 11th annual I/O conference will take place between 17 and 19 May 2017 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

According to PC Advisor, Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google based on Linux Kernel and the company has named its Android OS updates after sweet treats in an alphabetical order. Android users have already seen the updates having the names like Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow and the most recent one is the Nougat.

It is reported that Google might come up with the new Android OS update this year with a new name beginning with 'O,' since letter 'O' is the next letter after 'N-Nougat.' So, it is predicted that the next OS from Google might come up with Oreo, Orange, Oatcake and Oh! Henry.

Also, predictions are made that the company can even shake things up entirely and shock us all with something like Android OMG. As this is a popular expression and has become prevalent in the texting and internet culture. It will serve as a very interesting twist that fans will enjoy.

Also, Google recently released the Beta program for the Android 7.1.2 Nougat recently and users can avail this program m by registering. The devices that are supported by the Android 7.1.2 Beta program are Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus Player, Nexus 5X and Pixel C.
