John Cena is the new WWE champion after beating A.J. Styles at the Royal Rumble. However, he is not expected to go into WrestleMania 33 as champion. Cena is now rumored to be teaming up with Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

As recapped by WWE.com, Cena will defend the WWE championship at Elimination Chamber on February 12. He faces Styles, Baron Corbin, The Miz, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose in an Elimination Chamber Match.

Randy Orton is going to challenge the winner of that match at WrestleMania 33 and the rumor is Wyatt will come out of Elimination Chamber as WWE champion. It leaves Cena without a proper feud at the biggest show of the year.

According to Cageside Seats, the current plan for Cena is for him to team up with his girlfriend, Nikki, and face the real-life couple of The Miz and Maryse. The match can easily be set up at Elimination Chamber with The Miz costing Cena the WWE championship.

Since Maryse is always involved with her husband's matches, it makes sense that Nikki has to help her boyfriend. However, it should be noted that these are just purely speculative and WWE plans tend to change on a daily basis.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported on Tuesday that Cena's WrestleMania match is not a big one, per Wrestling Inc. It is speculated that Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin could also face the 39-year-old superstar at WrestleMania 33.

Ziggler and Cena have a history together since they both dated Nikki. The story writes itself and Ziggler recently turned heel. He can simply cost Cena the WWE championship at Elimination Chamber and challenge him in a match.

As for Corbin, he does not have a clear feud for WrestleMania 33. "The Lone Wolf" has the potential to become one of the biggest stars ever. If he faces Cena at WrestleMania, it is a big boost to his young career and the future of the WWE.
