Kevin Love did not play the entire match against the Thunder's this Sunday. He left in the 2nd quarter because of lower back pain. This was for the second time this month for Kevin Love that he had to leave in between the match because of the lower back problem.
However, Cleveland won by 107-91 against the Oklahoma City Thunder but another injury to Cleveland starter puts their championship defence under uncertainty. Kevin Love will now be going a medical test and not accompany his team on their trip to Dallas according to their coach Tyronn Lue.
The Cavs play their next match on Monday night at 8:30 against Dallas. Lue has said that LeBron and Kyrie Irving would be playing the next game as reported in Cleveland.
Kevin Love was not at his best right from the first half where he missed four shots for the 3-pointers. In the second half when 1:50 were left, Kevin was replaced. Love scored one point but got eight rebounds in about 12 minutes. "When he got out there he felt something and he tried to give it a go again and he just couldn't go," Lue said.
Love has an average of 20.3 points and 11.1 rebounds. He was also selected as an Eastern Conference reserve for next month's All-Star Game which will be played in New Orleans last week.
During the game against Golden State on January 16 which Cavs lost, Kevin Love was kept out in the second half in that match too and also in the next match on January 19 as reported in NBA. The Cavs has an open roster spot and they are looking weak in the front court. Adding to Chris Anderson who is already out for a year due to torn right ACL.
Without Kevin Love and Anderson now ,Cavs are left with 12 available players. David Griffin, the General Manager of Cavs, may try to add a big player soon to the team as the trade ends on February 23.
