Russell Westbrook vows payback at Warriors Zaza Pachulia who has openly accepted this challenge asking Russ to "bring it on." Westbrook from Oklahoma City Thunder was indulged in a rift with the big man Zaza Pachulia from Golden State Warriors last Wednesday night.
During the play in the first half Westbrook was knocked down on the floor by Warrior's Zaza Pachulia while trying to get the ball. According to Washington Post, it was said that Pachulia was going for the ball and thought it was a clean steal and he knew what he was up to while standing over Westbrook.
"I was there, so whatever I did, it was me. I'm in charge for my behaviour," Pachulia said as reported by Slamonline.
For Westbrook's post match comment, "He hit me kind of hard, but it's all right. I'm going to get his ass back - straight up," Pachulia said he will be there in OKC whenever Westbrook wants him it would be a pleasure to him.
When the five-time NBA All-Star player Westbrook was asked if he noticed Pachulia standing over him, to which he answered saying he didn't see him until now. He added that he does not like playing that kind of game but the next time he gets against Pachulia he will get back, LA Times reported.
Westbrook registered his 21st triple-double this season and scored 27 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. However, that effort was not enough as in the end warriors won the match by 121-100.
Both the teams will face each other again next month on February 11 when the Warriors will be visiting the Thunders. Pachulia has stated that he is not much concerned about the team and they are looking forward to getting into the playoffs.
"I'm not thinking about this kind of comments. That team is not there, so they might be thinking about other stuff, like getting back. So, you know, OK, you can get me back," Pachulia said.
