Chelsea F.C.'s forward Diego Costa will show no mercy at the football field.
In his interview with Football Focus (via BBC), Costa said that he knew he was "no angel" on the pitch and he would not alter his combative style of football. According to the publication, the 27-year-old Spanish forward had been banned two times for three matches this year, due to stamping on Liverpool F.C. midfielder Emre Can and rattling with Arsenal F.C. defender Laurent Koscielny.
Costa also told BBC that he had gotten this far because of how he played the game. He added that he was not going to change the way he plays because of what people might think of it. In his interview with Mirror, the forward said that while he was not actually bothered, he would not change unless his manager Jose Mourinho or his co-players or his supporters told him so.
Coming from Atletico Madrid, Costa moved to Stamford Bridge in July 2014. He had done his contribution as a Chelsea team member by helping the team win the Premier League and League Cup last season.
Along with Costa, Chelsea's roster includes forward Pedro, Kennedy, and Radamel Falcao, midfielders Oscar, Willian, Cesc Fabregas, Bertrand Traore, and Eden Hazard, defenders Baba Rahman and John Terry, and goalkeepers Asmir Begovic, Thibaut Courtois, and Jamal Blackman, among others.
