Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has topped the Sky Sports Power rankings for two successive weeks.

According to Sky Sports, the 26-year-old Chilean footballer had scored his sixth league goal of the season in their 3-0 victory against Watford on Oct. 17. The publication added that this maintained Sanchez's place as the most in-form player in the Premier League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told Dan Ripley of the Mail Online that Sanchez had been "jaded" physically, yet the footballer still pushed himself too much and had finished tired. According to the publication, Sanchez had a groin problem during Arsenal's 3-0 against Manchester United prior to the international break, but still went on to represent Chile in two World Cup qualifiers match.

For Wenger, the two games with Chile, along with travelling and Watford was too much for his star footballer.

Also this week, Newcastle United forward Georginio Wijnaldum had joined the top-10 at No. 5, boosting 157 places following a score of four in the 6-2 win against Norwich City on Oct.18 at St. James' Park, Newcastle.

As per Sky Sports, the 24-year-old Dutch footballer had gained 8,369 points from matchday nine and a boosted 1,598 points more, as compared to the week's second best performer, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling.

Meanwhile, Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk had made it to the second spot up the chart after the Saints' 2-2 draw match against Leicester City at St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton, Hampshire, on Oct.17.

For the time being, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich with a score of 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Oct. 21. The team stands second in the Premier League.
