According to the Florida Times-Union, the 26-year-old veteran running back Banyard had been promoted for the practice squad, following his injury during their match against the Buffalo Bills in London on Oct. 18.
There are several injuries within the team for the time being. As per Fox News, starter T.J. had missed the team's loss from Houston Texas last week due to his groin injury, while backup Bernard Pierce had had a concussion. Meanwhile, the team's rookie, Corey Grant, also had a hip injury, which had also put him on season-ending reserve.
Banyard started with the Jaguars in 2012 as a free agent. Appearing in 18 games within the two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He had also caught 10 passes for 73 yards, along with a run for 88 yards on 21 carries. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars had freed safety, Craig Loston from the practice squad, while securing receiver Jordan Leslie and quarterback Jeff Tuel.
Aside from Banyard, the roster of the Jacksonville Jaguars also include Blake Bortles, Justin Blackmon, T.J. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) stands fourth in AFC Southern Divison. The team is set to have a match with the AFC Eastern Division third placer Buffalo Bills (3-3) at Wembley Stadium, London on Oct. 25.
