West Ham United, AS Roma, Orlando City and a slew of other clubs will need to find an alternative. Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez will have his opportunity with Manchester United.

PSG Want Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani Swap

Manager Louis van Gaal revealed on Wednesday that the 27-year-old will be returning to the club on July 25.

"At the time, we have to decide which strikers we could have at Manchester United," van Gaal said (via ESPN FC). "We have already four strikers: we have Welbeck, we have Chicharito [Hernandez], we have Van Persie, we have [James] Wilson. Then I have to make a decision that I let go Chicharito and Welbeck because I have bought also Falcao. When you play a system with two strikers or one striker, then you [have to] make decisions and I let Chicharito go."

"But now he is coming back."

Perhaps opening the door for Hernandez at United was the departure of Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce. The Dutch captain was unveiled in Turkey after agreeing to an undisclosed move.

"I have already had the conversation at the end of the season, so he knew already what was coming and I think he did a very good choice," Van Gaal said. "After we played golf [in May], we talked about the perspective for him at Manchester United."

"I wish him all the best and I have also texted that to him."

Hernandez will look to make his United return against Paris Saint-Germain on July 29.
