The Philadelphia Eagles are back in the news again, this time for possible offseason trade discussions. Last month, Sports World News reported that Dallas Goedert and Bryce Huff could soon find their new teams. It turns out that Huff's $51.1 million contract could hint at a possible trade scenario with Green Back Packers as one of the destinations before the NFL Draft night.

While the Eagles saw a deep playoff run last season, they're now focused on tweaking their roster for 2025, and that could mean moving high-priced players who underperformed.

Bryce Huff's Value in the NFL Trade Market

Bryce Huff, 26, remains considered a young pass-rush prospect with potential. His 2024 season fell short, though, and his cap cost is high. With Philadelphia potentially looking to budget more effectively on defense, Huff is an understandable trade candidate in case the right proposition arises, according to Logan Ulrich of NFL Trade Rumors.

The reporter said that Huff won't be vacant this offseason as eight teams might adopt him. One of the most prominent teams that could recruit him is the Green Bay Packers.

"There aren't notable connections to Huff on staff, but he's arguably one of the best sack artists potentially available going into the summer, and he would be a better scheme fit in Packers DC Jeff Hafley's defense, which wants to be attacking and get up the field," Ulrich said.

"Green Bay has some salary flexibility to take on more of Huff's contract than other teams, but Gutekunst likely will drive a harder bargain with draft compensation," he added.

Ulrich also emphasized that Huff could fit in DC Jeff Hafley's aggressive playstyle although no direct relationship is established between Huff and the Packers' coaching staff.

Green Bay Could Improve Huff's Sack Skill

The Packers may need some added heat off the edge. While GM Brian Gutekunst has expressed faith in in-house alternatives, Green Bay's pass rush is still a question mark as the summer approaches.

Huff, for all his inconsistency, is still one of the stronger true sack artists who might be on the board. His skill set could benefit from Hafley's system, which emphasizes speed and disruption.

Another benefit? The Packers have the cap space to absorb more of Huff's contract than other bidders, according to Sports Illustrated. Nevertheless, as Ulrich pointed out, Green Bay's front office is famous for negotiating tough, so any trade would probably have to be low-budget, such as a late-round draft pick.

Can a Surprise Eagles-Packers Deal Occur?

Though the two teams have had their share of competitive tension, most famously the "Tush Push" fiasco, it wouldn't be the first time adversaries found common ground in the trade market.

With Philadelphia seeking to free up cap space and Green Bay seeking low-risk upgrades, the trade isn't completely out of the question.

It should be mentioned that the Eagles recently took the Packers out of playoff contention, creating a further level of intrigue in any possible trade.
