Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton stunned both fans and management with a scorching promo segment that blurred the lines between reality and entertainment. The WWE SmackDown fans saw more than they anticipated during the April 4 episode.

Apparently, the script was expected to be a teaser for the upcoming WrestleMania 41 showdown, but it unexpectedly became an unplanned and very personal confrontation.

Promo Turns Personal

As per backstage reports, the April 4th showdown was meant to adhere to a scripted rundown. However, WrestleVotes reported that "very little" of the segment went according to plan. What was aired was a war of words filled with real-life jabs that hit way below the belt.

The turning point arrived when Stratton mocked Flair's record of failed marriages:

"When it's all said and done, you're going to be just like you are outside of the ring, alone! What is that record, like 0–3?"

Flair shot back as well, retorting with: "Is that why Kaiser's in my DMs?"

This direct dig mentioned Stratton's real-life partner, fellow WWE wrestler Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser responded with a clip on X featuring WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels' iconic line, "Please do not flatter yourself."

WWE Stars Divided Behind the Latest Commotion

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp affirmed the locker room was abuzz with reaction, as most felt the segment went "off the rails."

According to RingSideIntel, WWE insiders viewed some of the snappiest jabs by Stratton as payback for Flair's previous dominance in their on-screen feud.

Veteran journalist Mike Johnson of PWInsider added more insight, saying that Stratton's verbal attack could have been her way of taking back the spotlight after Flair "ate her up" in earlier promos.

It was also mentioned that Flair appeared momentarily rattled by the crowd's reaction, giving Stratton's digs even more impact. It was visible that the series of boos got under Flair's skin, causing her to stop from talking.

WWE Cleans House on Social Media, But Not Everywhere

In the hours following the segment, WWE's official X and YouTube accounts scrubbed references to Flair's divorces. However, as of this writing, the USA Network's version of the clip remains unedited—proof that the moment aired live and unfiltered.
