Two teams chasing the 2015 Gold Cup will do battle today in a match between Costa Rica and El Salvador. The tournament clash scheduled for 9 p.m. ET will be held at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston and can be live streamed here. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 2.
What They're Saying
Costa Rica forward David Ramirez (via Nacion): "I think we can change what [the fans] are saying. The fans have every right to pressure us, but what I ask of them is to have a little more patience because the tournament just started. I'm very happy with my assist and goal [against Jamaica], but the result isn't that good for us. A draw leaves me with a bad taste [in my mouth]."
El Salvador head coach Albert Roca (via La Prensa): "We are competitive. We had more chances than our opponent [Canada], but we couldn't take advantage of it. Costa Rica are still the favorites in the group. Canada weren't easy.
Tactical Preview
Player to Watch: David Ramirez continues to grow into the goalscorer of the Paulo Wanchope era. The 22-year-old spent half of last season on loan with Evian Thonon Gaillard. He would finish scoreless in his six appearances, but has scored one goal in each of Costa Rica's last two matches.
Costa Rica's Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Alvarado; Calvo, Miller, Gonzalez, Myrie; Borges, Guzman; Ramirez, Bryan, Campbell; Saborio
El Salvador's Projected Lineup (4-5-1): Carrillo; Xavier, Mendoza, Molina, Larin; Alvarez, Menjivar, Alas, Punyed, Ceren; Sanchez
