Two teams chasing the 2015 Gold Cup will do battle today in a match between Mexico and Cuba. The tournament clash scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET will be held at Soldier Field in Chicago and can be live streamed here. Additional TV coverage can be found on Fox Sports 1.

What They're Saying

Mexico left-back Miguel Layun (via CONCACAF): ""It is always difficult to lose a teammate, above all one with the quality of Javier [Hernandez], more so personally than from a football perspective. We know that he is a player that gives us many things and as a person he is great human being. With each cup that is played it is more difficult. The teams work better each time. What's most important for us in the first match is to go out on the pitch and demonstrate good football in order to take home all three points."

Cuba assistant coach Walter Benitez (via NBC Sports): "Now we have only 16 players because [Keiler Garcia] has gone absent. We don't know where he is. The lad who went away was a first-choice player, but we'll manage. We came to play a tournament and we're going to play it."

Tactical Preview

Player to Watch: Layun proved to be an integral part of Watford's push for promotion to the Premier League last season. In 17 appearances, the 27-year-old averaged 1.1 key passes.
